Because He did it for me first
For over fifteen years I filled a hole with alcohol, parties and relationships that confirmed everything I already believed about myself. If you had asked anyone who knew me whether I would ever become a Christian, they would have laughed.
Then one night God took it. All of it. No withdrawal, no cravings, no programme. Just gone. That was 2015, and I have not touched a drink since.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Claim your identity in Christ
Everything flows from identity. Until you know you are chosen, beloved and already qualified, you will keep settling for scraps and calling it humility. Your role is wife, mother, worker. Your identity is daughter of the King. They are not the same thing.
Release offence and resentment
Bitterness does not punish the person who hurt you. It punishes you. Forgiving is not letting them off the hook and it does not mean trusting blindly again. It means closing a door the enemy has been walking through.
Obey God when it is uncomfortable
Knowing changes nothing. Doing changes everything. Speaking kindly when you are angry, praying blessing when you want to complain, loving when you do not feel like it. Feelings follow obedience, not the other way round.
Walk in your calling
Not someday, when the house is calm and you finally feel ready. Now, in the middle of it. Your calling is usually forged in the fire rather than handed to you after it. You do not need permission and you do not need perfect circumstances.
Nurture the new you
Breakthrough is not a single moment, it is a daily choice. Routines that anchor you, boundaries that protect your peace, people who keep you honest, and grace for the days you slip. This is how you stay standing when the hard seasons come back around.

Before, after, and what comes next
I grew up in a house where God existed in theory. Church happened at weddings and funerals. As a little girl I was quietly drawn to Him, but I learned early to keep that to myself.
By seventeen I had left home with a bus pass, my phone and a pound. Sofas, hostels, temporary rooms. I filled the emptiness with anything that would sit still long enough. Alcohol mostly. Relationships that agreed with the worst thing I believed about myself.
Then one evening a friend and I were talking about everything I wanted to change about myself, and he said one word. Temperance. I was so certain I already knew what it meant that I knocked his phone clean out of his hand before we could look it up. When we read the definition together, to abstain from alcohol, neither of us could speak. I had a glass of vodka in my hand at that exact moment. I took a sip and it tasted like plain water. I never finished it, and I have not touched a drink since.
In September 2015 I walked to the front of a healing service and gave my life to Christ. I was the last one in the room to go forward, because I was that shy. The whole place erupted.
Since then God has rewritten my life line by line. I met my husband in 2016. We married in 2021. Our daughter arrived in 2024. I went to Bible college in 2025.
What comes next? No big course and no community waiting in the wings. What I love, and what I intend to keep doing, is building and looking after apps. Kingdom Life Covenant is in progress now, and there will be more after that.
Alongside that there is the blog. My life is a sermon. Every post comes out of something real, a thought, an experience, a reflection, a conversation, something God showed me in an ordinary week. That is the whole plan, and it is plenty.
